OK, in the summer we are staying in chattel and travelling back via the ferry at Amsterdam. Looking for somewhere to stay overnight about 2.5 to 3.5 hours from Amsterdam on route. I’ve had a look at air bnb and route planner and somewhere around liege or cologne area looks about the right distance. We will have 4 bikes on the back of the car. Any recommendations of somewhere to stay either town or an actual air bnb or hotel. We have 2 kids 211 and 7 and hope to arrive there late afternoon and have somewhere to explore or look around for the evening to try and make it part of the holiday instead of just a motorway hotel stop.
