    Lock-on grips are silly. Not if you like them to stay put during ‘proper’ riding and still be able to easily and cleanly remove them for working on your bike.
    Seat QRs and crud catchers are unnecessary! not at races, but for normal riding they are (IMO)

    I dont miss my 8 Speed shifters.

    I’m still using them, still sourcing 8Sp drive chain parts just about.

    I meant for that style of bike more than anything, but I still see lock-on grips as unnecessary, and mudguards. Just get muddy! Unless you’re commutin, in which case you shouldn’t use a bike like that.

    Can see the merit in people who want to drop their saddle having a QR on their seatpost, but not on an XC race bike.
