    good stuff

Slain Navy SEAL Jon Tumilson’s dog “Hawkeye” lies next to his casket during funeral services in Rockford, Iowa. Tumilson was one of 30 American soldiers killed in Afghanistan on August 6 when their helicopter was shot down during a mission to help fellow troops who had come under fire

Ive got something in my eye, its seems to be watering………

The one of the elderly lesbian couple who had just gotten married is quite sweet, although I suppose you could argue it’s tragic that they’ve had to wait so long…

It says something when (No. 28) a photo of a photo of a dead second rate pop star makes it into a list of ‘the 45 most powerful imaged of 2011’.

passtherizla: I can assure you that your friend’s brother may not have made it into that list, but he is by no means forgotten.

Christians protect Muslims during prayer in Cairo, Egypt.

I like. Sets an example to many IMHO.

It is an american list, doesn’t diminish the power of any of the images but is definitely skewed.

Not seeing why the nationality of a publisher has anything to do with 45 photos a that are from anywhere but North America, save five.

    On a lighter note.

At a quick look I counted 20 american ones. Skewed.
Depressingly quite a few peaceful protesters getting a kicking.

Elfin that pic is indeed class, thought there was some discussion of being staged/not a kiss…? I also liked wreckers

No 1 looks staged, not saying it is, just looks it.

Volcano and dust storm are epic, the ferry boat on the house is the one I most remember seeing at the time.

I had to recount. I apologise for my inaccuracy, but you still can’t blame a news release for cooler things happening in the western hemisphere. That’s silly.

–P.S. Not trolling, just saying, there is too much racism going around the boards tonight.

C’mon, who wants to see/read/hear about positive and uplifting events……..

……..not that I can think of anything particularly P&U from the global news this year 😕

I agreed it was skewed didn’t say it was necessarily bad, it was presumably compiled by an american. Look at a tibetan compiled 45 pics of the year and I’m sure they will be very different. (or german or lithuanian or chinese)

Teej read piefaces link, gotta get a few smiles from that 😀
