we used to ride our bikes on a building site (massive Chafford Hundred, nr Lakeside) as kids. was brilliant. little courses made with scaffold boards and loads of earth and sand.

was really good till the last section of building was done coz we had nowhere to ride- sort of.

That reminds me of the BMX Bandits movie from the early 80s. I musta got my parents to rent that from the video shop about a zillion times. It was, like, the best movie *ever* when I was 5.

That is class in a glass. There’s also a good bicycle kung fu scene in the Jackie Chan film Project A.

BMX Bandits is great in a toe-curling kind of way. It’s a bit like one of those Children’s Film Foundation films that they used to put on after school, but with better stunts. You can watch the whole thing here:
