    I have seen some really good videos on here set to some really good tunes, can any one advise me how to do it total novice with editing soft ware

    Windows Movie Maker is a good intro to editing (and is free).

    Premiere is easy to use, not free but “free” versions are available if you know where to look.. Other than that, Lightworks Beta is probably the best actual free editor.

    Have a look at adobe creative suite on the cloud. They are noe on subscription rather than outright buy. Its very good just moved onto cs6

    Elements Premiere is cheap and very familiar if you use Elements for photo editing. I found it a lot easier than Movie Maker (might not be if you’re not an Elements user though).
