What do people think? From a layman’s point of view it looks rather clever (and I imagine that recumbents took a while to catch on) but will it change cycling?

It looks very unstable and twitchy, he is all over the place when he starts pedalling.

is simply a prone recumbent rather than a supine recumbent. It will be much more aero that a conventional bike and quite possible more efficient pedalling.

Looks bloody unstable and considering how tough it was to get going downhill – i’d hate to try a hill start on it!!

Top marks for utter wackiness though!! 🙂

Ever since the invention of the bicycle there has been a constant stream of people trying to reinvent the bicycle

There’s two possible reasons that the diamond framed bicycle continues to be so pervasive and dominant

    i) everything else had been tried, and the diamond frame simply does it cheaper, stronger and lighter and is more practical and comfortable in everyday use
ii) there is a massive longstanding conspiracy by bike manufacturers and retailers to force us to by something that they prefer to manufacture.

I’ll let you guess which I think is most likely

Why not put the rear wheel behind the pedals and make it really long, would increase the stability at the very least I think?
