I had a dear hit me (i was stationary in a layby!) and that alone did 3k worth of damage as it lept onto, across and them off my roof/windscreen/bonnet.

When i rang up to make a claim the insurance company woman on the phone said “Would you like us to pursue the other party” and i replied “You can have a go, but i think they are going to be way too fast to catch”……..

It was my first claim in 35 years driving ;-(
