Planning to do Snowdon via the Pyg Track this Saturday. I know pen-y-pass car park is busy and expensive. Planning to park in Nant Peris and get the first or second park and ride to pen-y-pass.

Anyone know if this is likely to be sold out or stupid long waits for the first available bus?

Otherwise its a 3 mile walk up the road.

Go past Pen-y-pass toward Pen-y-gwryd and park on the A498, and walk up to pyp from there via footpath, it’s quite nice & only adds a kilometre or so. You still might have to pay for parking!

You could park for free in Llanberis and get the bus from there?
Lots of places if you have a nosey around.

It’s ages since I’ve done it but I don’t recall a long wait.

Bus has been fine when I’ve used it in recent years, midweek or weekends
