Heading off to Egypt for a few weeks and fancy taking the toddler (he’s 4) for a little snorkel….
I’ve no idea what to look for really – it seems silicone is the way to go?

Anyway…any suggestions for a father and son snorkel shop would be appreciated!
http://Www.twobarefeet.com.uk seem a decent looking place perhaps?

    Ta muchly!

All I can say is don’t forget a UV rash vest.

don’t worry about a flash snorkel, they all work the same

try out every shape of mask in the shop and ignore the price, it just needs to fit your face, put it on without the head strap and suck with your nose, it should stay on with suction and feel comfy and good visibiliy through the lens (shave for a better seal)

Deffo get a rashvest or wear a tshirt

fins, just a big single blade, no fancy cutouts or slitted fins, wear socks to stop your feet getting rubbed

    have fun 🙂

As big a lens as you can get, with a clear silicone outer.

You need to go to a shop really to try for fit.

Get a very snug fit on the fins, otherwise they will rub in the water. Shave the hairs off the top of your feet before trying them on, as it is less painful to put the fins on with no hair, otherwise you will get a size to big as you think they are tight to put on.

    A simple snorkel as possible.

The fit of the mask the most important thing.

Clean the inside of the lens of the mask with toothpaste before first using, then just rub a bit of spit on it, once in the water, to stop it misting up.

Decathlon normally have a decent selection if you’re close to one.
