Spoke snapped where it meets the nipple on a Sram Roam 30 tubelss wheel. Is this now going to mean new rimtape and sealant? Just for 1 simple spoke?

I’d syringe the sealant out and patch the tape.

Nah, you can just hole the tape, change the spoke and duck tape over it. Shouldn’t even need to faff with sealant if you’re careful. Did this myself the other week in the alps.

Hmmm… will try the bodge then buy some rim tape if (and when) it goes horribly wrong. cheers

    You can patch it.

    Why did the spoke snap?

This happened to me. I changed the rim tape and then another spoke snapped. It was alloy nipples that had corroded. I changed them all in the end
