Decided to update my Fred Flintsone phone today with something half decent – I know very little about smartphones or the process of buying them.

I was liking the look of the motorola defy – like the idea of a durable phone. The best deal was on talkmobile – which sounded like a sort of sub-contracted version of the vodafone network. Has anyone any experience of this? The deal sounded reasonable – £18 a month with unlimited data. It might be a bit of a jarg network though, so I wondered if anyone had experience of using it.
