    Hi chaps,

My missus’ bought me a smart watch for Xmas, but my initial efforts of recording activities have failed, as I didn’t have a phone close by.

Are there any apps that I can use on the watch that will record the GPS details, and then download my activity later? I’d prefer to go for a ride with just the watch…

    Cheers for the help 🙂

Which watch is it, not that many have gps built in so far so guessing Sony smart watch 3. I have one, lg, that dosen’t have gps. I have been a little disappointed how reliant it is on the phone despite have a spec that would have embarrassed my pc a few years ago.
Did it come with any inbuilt apps?

Yep, Sony smart watch 3. There’s some apps for it that are recommended to download. Tried strava, but wouldn’t work without the phone connected.

If anyone finds this thread, the answer for now is: Ghostracer

It tracks you via GPS, then dyns with Strava when you’re near your mobile. Win.
