    Hi

Whats the consiquence of fitting a 185mm E2E shock instead of a 190mm shock thats fitted as stock?

    Thx

Marginally lower bottom bracket and slightly slacker head angle. Not a huge difference, check that the reduced length doesn’t cause any parts of the bike to touch at full travel, I’m guessing the stroke of the shock is the same.

Your back wheel may foul the frame when the travel bottoms out (you’ve also got to factor in the stroke).

Will also slacken angles and drop bb.

Sometimes fitting a shock with the wrong dimensions is like trying to get the positive end of two magnets together. It contradicts the laws of nature and the thing just jumps out of the frame before you’ve even had chance to bolt it in.

One time, at band camp, I tried to do this and my bike spontaneously combusted right after I’d jimmied the thing in.

The only person I know whose successfully managed to fit one is Chuck Norris.
