So I’ve just ridden my local trails on a mates trek stache for my first 29er experience. Even with a slightly cheap recon fork it was really quick and the increased rollover was really noticeable.
Surprisingly it banked over in turns way easier than I expected and there was a lot of grip.
It’s made me curious, I’ve steered off 29ers being a shortarse (5’6) but now I’m not so sure……….have really enjoyed my soul so a Solaris sounds a bit tempting, anyone gone from soul to 29er and care to comment, especially if you’re a small person! I’m not after xc but I have a bandit for “big day” duties so the hard tail is winter mud and summer change of pace!
