Anyone recommend a small folding knife/saw that I can keep in the Camelbak? Something that’ll cut cableties and stuff liek that but cope with the odd branch or two as needed also, but it light and small?

Silky pocketboy for cutting through branches, I’m amazed how quickly it goes through them. I’ve also got a (webtex?) hand-chain-saw, basicly a bit of chainsaw chain with a webbed handle on each end. Slower than the silky but you could probably cut up a fallen tree with it whereas the silky is limited by the length of the blade.

Cable ties need just need any old pocket knife. But that won’t cut through wood.

Regular size Swiss Army Knife with scissors and wood saw is fine.

No need to get the Champion model at over 200g.
