    Just phone the court it was issued in, tell them, then put it in writing.
    I have to do it quite a lot.

    YOU MAY STILL BE ABLE TO GET EXPENSES

    If he paid up after you served it and gave him notice that you were going to, there is a provision within the Scottish rules that you can claim expenses.
