Finally got around to experimenting with 1 x 9. So far it’s going well. I’m not missing the granny ring so far although I have gone for the big ring a few times to find it missing.

Anyway, I have a question about the shifter I’ve removed. Once I’ve decided to go for it, there’s little point putting it in the spares box. I imagine there’s little or no market for left hand shifters.

Anything better to do with it other than gut it and turn it into a lever for the dropper post?

Oh I had a suggestion all lined up for what to do with a left hand shifter and then I read your last line.
