I’m looking at getting some skills coaching in the near future and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

Ideally I’m looking for an individual who can coach an intermediate to advanced rider and is based in the NW. Quite happy to travel some distance.

    Any recommendations?

    Cyclewise at Whinlatter?

As already mentioned, Ed Oxley is based around Calderdale, he’s a top bloke.

AQR use somewhere round Long Mynd (Shropshire) for their skills days and occasionally also days in the Peak District, I had a great day out with them a few years bago, learnt loads. http://www.aquickrelease.com

    + another for Ed O.

Very good indeed and cured me of my fear of rocky steep things as well as teaching me so much more in 1 day.

I went to Ed-O and had a great time. He’s coming out here but that’s got no influence on my recommending him. He was coaching with Nigel Page and it was at a pretty advanced level. I did a write up on the weekend, it’s as much about the food, beer, accommodation and riding as it is about the skills coaching though! Great Rock Skills Weekend

    Ed.

Did an advanced(ish) day with him last summer but only last sunday saw his excellent teaching ability with a bunch of mates who hardly ride much, used to ride or are just getting going. Very highly recommended in any case.
