U can demo one from swinnertons anyway, they are an orange dealer, I'd steer clear of LL

I really like the idea of singlespeed – clean, simple and low maintenance. Tried it for a bit and it was nice, but I constantly found myself really wanting gears for both descents (topping out) and climbs (too hard for my weak thighs)! Sort of settled on a 1×9 setup now, almost the best of both worlds. I'm sure I'll have tried SS again by the end of the year though 😛
