just had both pedal inserts loosen in carbon truative noir carbon cranks – fishers won’t look at them without receipt or local shop send back so looking for a new or second hand option – not carbon though! Any recommendations that are not crazy money – was looking at aerozine X1 A1 light but very few people seem to sell them in UK – anyone got any experience ?

RaceFace Turbines are pretty light and don’t cost a bomb, otherwise there are always Shimano XTs, brilliant value for money. I just got a set of E13 TRS which seem good and are pretty light, can be a bit pricy though unless you get them end of line.

are the noir cranks new? if not could you send to a carbon repair specialist for the inserts to be re bonded into place?

Race Face Turbine cinch could be an option, but will probably require a new BB.

I’m no carbon expert however I would suggest contacting someone like swarf cycles and asking if they think it would be possible.

For that sort of money my choice would be a SRAM X1 1400 DM crankset. You’ll need a GXP BB (or convertor) though. You can find them for £150 online.
