Need to get some chainring bolts for single ring set up but not sure if these have to be a specific length. Using an xt 770 crank and raceface narrow wide ring. Anybody know whats what? Ive only got a mish mash of bolts n not having much luck. Any advice be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

I’ve recently built up a similar setup Deore cranks with an on one nw ring and I understand that nw rings are thicker so need standard 10mm bolts like these, they worked for me…….

    Definitely go for steel
I had alloy bolts come loose and fall out mid ride twice on XT cranks with RF narrow wide
Never experienced anything like that before and yes 2nd time they had been loctited
Since switching to stronglight steel bolts I’ve had no further issues

I use the ID ones – had them from Evans for a fiver.

Using about 3 sets I think inc the single speed. Never had a need to use Loctite
