Anyone know of anywhere where i can get chainring bolts thin enough for a single ring? It’s for a single big ring on my Roadrat.

The ones i have are annoyingly just about half a turn too long, think they’re the raceface ones off CRC. I could shim them with a washer i suppose….

CRC do two options, cheap and expensive.

I use the Brand-X on three bikes, no issues.

I’d suggest steel as i managed to fuse some alloy ones together which made em a right bugger to get out, even with the proper tool.

Just ordered some from charlie as it happens.

These are dead easy to get hold of these days. Thank hipsters. I got a set from the bike shop in Friar Street in Reading that always has fixies in the window.

6.5mm Chromo are showing as out of stock but he has Stainless ones in stock. I ordered a Gusset 1-er yesterday and it was dispatched within a couple of hours, Great service.

I would use Copperslip whether they are alloy or stainless.

You will want to remove them later….right?

The ones that you want, these are the ones you want – oo, oo, oo!

Big fan of grease me! Or copperslip, you know, whatever.

    Anyhoo…
    steel – check
    black – check
    adaptable – check
stupid design that *can be* a pain in the arse – uncheck! Hex key either side – why didn’t anyone think of it sooner?

I would avoid alloy bolts on a one speed rig. They tend to pop.
    Thanks for your custom chaps
