    STW hive mind to the rescue!! 😉 – I want to introduce some mobility into our origami installations, movement would be generated by responding to changes in the environment, hence the Robotic element. how do I go about this? Rasberry Pi? Micro controllers – is any of this mac compatible?

    Simple stuff I would go along the arduino route. I am sure that these is a Mac ide.

    Arduino will do it fairly easily. You can get plug in boards to drive motors very cheaply. Either a cheapy DC motor or a Servo.
