Why is it some people seem totally incapable of the concept of closing doors, it was shut when you got to it, you opened it to enter, now shut it.

Jesus was born in a barn, not you, grrrrr 👿

Overheard a great retort the other day:

“Were you born in a barn!?”

“No, but I was conceived in one”

Doors really are a confusing technology for some people.

Walking along a wide corridor, at the end of which is a double door with people queuing up to go through the right hand door and letting people come through the same door. I’m not much for queuing and have been fully trained in door usage methodologies (opening AND closing), so I wandered past the queue, opened the left hand door and walked through to much grumbling and dirty looks.

My irritation goes one step further. Our doors have cunning mechanical devices that allow you to operate a lever which withdraws a catch, then holds the door in the closed position. Can I convince the wife to use this device? Can I bollocks. Swinging it as hard as you can is close enough to the desired effect for her.

    Schoolkids. Train doors. That’s all.
