Got an issue this morning where the shower won’t shut off.
Have turned the pump off and the water feeds to stop it but it obviously needs fixing.
It’s a recessed valve like the one in this link. Not 100% that it is a triton but it looks almost identical bar the lever on the knob.
It’s like the valve won’t close. You turn it to off and then it “clunks” and goes past the off position.

I believe the valve is solenoid controlled so either the solenoid itself has failed or the control board.

Thanks Craig but this is a single mixer valve via a pump so it’s definitely a mechanical issue.
I think the cartridge has failed but I don’t think it is removable for this model. It’s like the triton one in the link but not made by triton. After some googling, I think it’s made by Cruze but there are no markings on it to be sure and I’ve got no purchase invoice to confirm.
All I’ve managed to do is isolate the shower but have no idea whether it can be repaired or if it needs replacing.

look for the installation manual for a similar one and see if you an figure out how to get into it.

Not the same as yours as it’s exposed but the cartridge parts should be the same and if you give them a call to them should point you in the right direction.

If you know the manufacturer, which it seems you might. Find web site….
Call tech support and see if they will accept a photo of your valve via email for identification.
Sounds to me like the cartridge is shot.
These companies are sometimes quite good a providing support. There are service kits and replacement parts for most decent quality valves.
I dont have any experience with Cruze but have had help on several occasions from Bristan and Grohe. If it’s a Italian or Spanish??

Cheers all. I’ve managed to get the cover off to get to the cartridge and send photos to an online shower cartridge specialist so fingers crossed.
I’ve even managed to fit an isolator valve too.

I think I’m wasted as a data analyst and should definitely pursue a career in plumbing… 😆

There are usually isolators on the inlet and/or outlet pipes of the pump. You mentioned the shower is pumped?
I should stick to data. 🙂

My pump only had one on the cold feed pipe….

Under the budget constraints of an accountant

Undo the grub scew to remove the lever. Unscrew the outer chrome shroud. There should be a big nut on show then. Unscrew that and you can pull out the inner body of the valve. There are 3 o rings to renew (if it’s a cheap valve) or a new ceramic inner cartridge (if it’s a more expensive one).
