My first proper mtb was a GT Aggressor XC2 (halfords special), and I can’t let myself get rid of the frame. Had been planning on building something up for the wife on a different frame with all of my spare parts, but she’s now going to use the C2W scheme instead. This morning (whilst procrastinating from doing proper work) I realised I was a headset short of building my old bike back up using bits and bobs lying around the man-cave, so bought one pronto and got to work.

    The results:

It’s by no means perfect, but I’m surprised by how nicely it rides! Bodged singlespeed, cable disc brakes and heeavvvyy forks. Itching to get out and have a blast round Carron Valley or something to get a bit of time off studying.

    Any other parts-bin-turned-useful-bikes on here?

Put this together for work before selling to a mate (was geared, single speed and rigid through it’s life).
