Forced to get our 2 cats a few years ago by the Missus to keep her company while I worked away most of the week. Now I’m home I spend more time with the remaining one than she does. But enjoy the company of Samuel Catson (RIP) and Harrison Ford (her choice of names) and was pretty emotional when he died last Xmas.
And I’m a cold hearted bastard who deals with ill and dying people every day for a living. Guess I like animals more than people
Just got back from the vets having had Oscar our beautiful Bengal put to sleep- the real downside of having pets 😥
My condolences, pop larkin.
Having lost, as I said above his photo, one of ours just before Christmas I soon realised that I just have to appreciate the ten years he enjoyed and remember how happy he was.
my condolences. I had to have my cat muji put down in 2011 and I still find it a sad situation.
At least I gave him a proper burial in open woodland, even though it was done at 2am by torchlight, as we did not leave the vet until 11pm. I cannot think of a better place for a loved pet to be buried. I still pass his grave twice a week on my mountain bike rides.
Indeed – that’s how we lost one just before Christmas. The only one that ventured across the road. We still ask ourselves what the alternative would have been… keep him cooped up inside and miserable all the time?
He’s now a bit older and has a younger version to annoy him/hiss at, but I’ll be buggered if I can get any decent shots of the new ‘devil in a cat suit’!

Will now have eaten that box. Is amusing allergic to cats. Thinks she’s a tiger. Fav game sitting on the top of something high and dive bombing her sisters head.
