Not if you can;t actually ride the poxy thing, they won't. I feel a bit like Nathan Barley bimbling around on mine. It is good fun down the pump track though.
Go for it _ ive just bought a felt sector to keep myself occupied while my lad practices at Crewe race track and its great fun- although I am verrrrry slow!
Is the 83 DB Silver Streak fitted with Acs Z rims.
is the 83 DB Senior Pro (same as a Harry LEary Turbo really, without the black smoked chrome) with HL Pro bars, a DBsugino f1 crank, Araya 7x on suzue large flange hubs. The new old stock DB mks Pedals were an ebay find!
I think that opinion is just because when we were kids, BMX was new and there was no older generation riding so everyone thinks its for kids because they never remember seeing old guys riding (and there are plenty out there)
At the end of the day its two wheels and just an fun / dangerous as DH / FR…
I would love a BMX, my son has two (Spesh Fuse and a Haro), have a little play on them every now and then (when I have fixed them for him) but at 44 feel a little stupid and crap going out in public on one especially at the local skate park in front of the spotty yoofs (who can ride).
Got to pick up a hubguard from Stodgy on the way so should be round by 10.30 if traffic not too bad. We'll chat about where we're going when we get there.
Weather is looking spot on (except for a lack of sun), car is packed, all I got to do is sleep and put the bike in tomorrow.
