with a bias to a touring build?

my commuter plans have wavered, from whippety road bike, to something a bit more comfortable, and something i could use in the future for long distance road/towpath rides loaded up with panniers.
also preferably something that would take an alfine hub too

as im 6’5″, a 26″ slot dropout inbred might not be quite rolly enough on the road i think?

im erring towards Droppish bars, (midge or mungo)
