Probaly been done before but I would love it if some of you SS riders could post up some pics for inspiration. Would also be good to see what gear ratio you have set up!
So what have you got?

Just built this - running 32:18 initially.
36x19
You wanna see my SS yeah?
Well, I just got a new one and it's the **** nuts:
29er rear, cos it's cool.
24er front, for uphilling.
Drop bars, for no good reason at all.
Running 62:13, anything less is for soggy young lady's shirts.

EDIT: and it ain't got cranks, cos they're for softies an' all.
what fork are you running on that, banana?
Dunno, found 'em in a skip and heard of this poor guy with a slipped-disc who can't ride much these days but does WICKED resprays on whatever and got him to bend them straight for me and make them that RAD new colour you see here.
sick!
32:18 Singular Swift

32:16 slidy drop Inbred
but currently stripped awaiting a new Sterling Moss slot drop version. Maybe end of next week? Who knows...
I like this bike! Running 32-18 in the North Lakes (Keswick area)
32:16 its the law, on proper 26" round thingy bobs

my most used bike, a real work horse and great fun running 32 -17 - but I really like the drop handle bar Singular (prob a 29 er as well) in cream that appears on here from time to time
Doh! I came onto this thread to just rip the pi55 a bit but, postierich, your bike is actually a reet proper stunner an' a half: a perfect blend of old, new and middle-school.
What frame is that? What's the deal with your rear disk mount: slidey?
Syncros stems ahoy!!

my favourite bike, with industry standard 32:16.

[edit]and here's my winter hack ss, a Kona Sutra, with Aero bars, running 42:18[edit]
Cheers Bananadude had a synros old school seat post but killed it on a gnarly ride, slidey dropouts are Pauls components ones and its a Sunn enduro frame from "back in the day"
Rich
Really? ok, you asked.
Humuhumunukanukaapau'a

Ratio - 44:16 I think. Actually looking at the cog size I'm doubting this, maybe 40:16.
I think that's it.
Nope, hang on... one more.
Van Tuyl

Ratio - hehe, It's a 90 inch gear, not sure what the cog sizes are, probably best igorning this one if you need to ask.
Oh go one then - largely 32:17 but gets switched to the fabled 32:16 for less steep places...

Just waiting for a Charge Knife to finish it off
30:13

34x17 with one of these...
ooooh - boone ti? It's clearly the wrong size for you matthewjp - send it to me instead!

32:16 mostly ..

32/16 - its the law!
That's a lovely bike rob.
No longer mine but as my Swift hasn't arrived yet qualifies by being the most recent. The frame is now with a nice chap from here.
32/16 - its the law!
Unless, like me, you live somewhere hilly and have weak legs...

Going down the DMR route should be fun.
Work in progress.....
Just finished putting this together 3 days ago. running a 32 x 16, though change to 32 x 18 for the real hills. The snow in the background fell this morning, more due later this week down to 1400m (in case you wondered I live in the Alps)
