I’m just waiting for some shifters and I will have converted my trusty Surly Crosscheck in to my kiddy carrier aka the Dadwagon (pics to follow).

So go on show me yours…

Age 6 & 4 now. Just taken delivery of this & they love sitting on the back for the school run, rain or shine. Tried commuting with them on their own bikes but was a lot of hassle with all the bags & stuff. Wish I’d bought one of these years ago.

    the SS land train

That’s not a land train 😉 . When Son2 became too big for the baby seat, we had a Burley Piccolo on the back of the Flying Banana. Oh my god it was hard work uphill. Downhill, however, was a real “faster daddy!!!!” experience. Served me well on the school run (4 miles each way), and was always easier on the way home unladen.

For the record, carrying children on bicycles not designed for the purpose is not strictly legal (adding babyseats brings an exception). And you can buy a second hand Thorn or Dawes kiddyback tandem for about £300. Good for 40 mph too.

    This one takes three kids.
