I don’t have a car and I get free travel on buses and discounted travel on some trains (I work for a transport operator) so my travel costs a month probably average £20.
But travelling to work everyday by bus adds on 2 hours a day to my commute. Travelling anywhere not served by major bus routes and rail services is a pain with infrequent and unreliable services. I can also ride my bike in more places since I’m not limited by only riding in places with a railway station. So in reality I want a car…
Option 1: stop whinging and use public transport it costs so little for me to use
Option 2: buy a car – I’m 23 so it has to be cheap, so a vauxhall corsa or something like that and just run it into the ground.
However I hate modern cars they are awful, boring, ugly, plastic things, did I mention ugly
Option 3: I do really fancy an Austin A40 farina however but how much of a bad idea is getting one…?
What should I do?
