Left my faithful ancient Aldi Merino base layer behind after a group turbo session and am in need of a replacement. Is there owt out there for less than £25…? Anyones to avoid.? Was looking at planet x ones but are they any good.?

Smartwool – best I’ve owned. GoOutdoors had them on sale today.

Had some from On-One for two years and like them. Somebody will be along shortly to say the opposite or that merino is the Emperors new clothing.

I have 3 of the On-One 120g short sleeves which are excellent, and which get used every ride in winter… unfortunately only available in XL and XXL now. I have a couple of the heavier long sleeves – but they are not as good… too bulky, too warm and a bit itchy.

i was in Aldi last week and they had a few merino ss ones still in store….
