I am thinking of moving to clipless pedals. ( I know there is another thread but saw the question asked " what type of riding do you do?), and would love some advice on shoes and pedals

I generally do off road cross country type riding. I ride in all weathers.

I sometimes road ride to work ( 10 miles or so)

Hoping you can help and advise

for Pedals it depends what you like doing. use and abuse then throw away, or fettle'n & maintaining.
if the former then Time are fit and forget.
for the latter then Crank Bro and Shimano are great. personaly I've used Shimano SPD, Time and Crank Bro's and every time I go back to Crank Bros Candy. get the SL model (Stainless steel bits). all the internals are replaceable and easy to service and you can get Ti spindles after market off a guy in US for about £35 if you want to get all weight weenie later.

For shoes, then can't beat Specialised bg shoes as Rob states. same great fit throughout the range, pay more for lighter and tighter.
