Which one did you buy? They’ve varied the geometry quite a bit over just the last few years iirc.

V3 bought this October. XT throughout. Fatbar Lite, Answer Rove AM stem. Lyriks upgraded to RCDH.
Superstar Tesla hubs, Tactic tlr rims.
    30lbs with pedals.
Cabling needs a bit of fettling.

No pics but I got rid of mine for a pitch. Much much better bike in every way. I just couldn’t stand the El Crappo it was horrible and so ugly.

Beuaty is in the eye of the beholder:0 Got to say I am really enjoying mine. Broke my 07 epic and was looking for something that can take anything I could do to it and the handsome seemed to fit the bill, in my price range. Had a sub 5 in 2003-2008 which was getting a bit old.

Its a tool and it does what is intended- puts a big smile on my face, which I suppose is pretty ugly as well. The CCDB is very good.

Not so much shitting dog, as constipated dog 😉

I’m sure you’ll be selling it soon eh Rob? 😉

That is funny, I ended up doing the same thing! Didn’t like the way it rode, but I could never put my finger on it. Suspension was good though.

Built the pitch up after I got a deal that was too good to be true. Love it, best bike i’ve ever ridden. Only thing I would change is to have a bolt through rear axle.

Ironically, Rob has just ditched his Pitch for the Guapo.

Shoulda got an Enduro Rob 😉

Pisstaking aside, I don’t mind the look of the El Guapo – just hope it rides ok.

By the way Rob – I’m back out, had my first ride last Thursday.

We are all off to BPW for Yatesy’s birthday 8th Feb if you are up for it

Hahaha. More fool you rob. You definitely should have got an Enduro. Mine rocks, a step up again from the Pitch.

This my V3 I built this year I’ve changed quite a lot since then and will be changing a lot more.

My thoughts on this bike are gripy climber, hard work in slow twisty bits, absolutely planted in fast flowy parts, bit of a monster on fast fast descents gives you plenty of confidence.

This will be my setup by new year

    1×10 (currently 1×9)
slx crank with narrow wide chain ring
    xt mech
    Hans damfs
    M596
    RS Sektor RL 150mm
    El guapo stem
    750 carbon riser bar
Superstars Tech 3 am wheelset (wish I went with hope hoops flows)

Black Rocks trig point fr0sty125 😉

I guess some folk on here feel it’s more important for a bike to look good riding around the trail centre car park than how it’s actually rides!

I have a v2 with a pushed dhx ti coil
    Marzocchi 55 rc3 ti evo
Flows on Hadley hubs, w/10mm bolt thru
Hans dampf front rubber queen rear
    Saint cranks
1×9 short cage xo rear mech
    Reverb
    Elixir cr brakes
    Chromag bars and stem
And a custom carbon bb and downtube protector!

Looks ace and rides like a dream

This is my V2 just before I sold it. The only bike I’ve ever regretted selling. Great fun to ride, like a mini dh bike, but pedalled and climbed superbly:

He will probably end up buying another pitch 😉 No comparison.

I can’t believe that some people find these ugly, compared to some of the horrors that Santa Cruz and Marin/Whyte churn out they’re beautiful.

Because they are cheap and from on-one 😉

You’ve had time to ride it so how dose it compare to the Pitch?

Its the forks that make the most difference imo, they are a world apart even from RC2DH lyriks!
The frame feels good – VERY stable and easy to move around. It also clibs a lot better than the pitch did even with xmas booze legs.
    “feels” lighter
