    Hi,
I’m looking for a nut to match the bolt which attaches the uppermost end of the shock to the frame of a 2009 Trek Top Fuel 8. I’ve asked in a couple of bike shops but no success. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to get hold of one please?
    Thanks

It’s probably a standard size, take the bolt into Halfords or B&Q and see what matches.

Any Trek dealer should be able to order one in, by coincidence we’ve just received one for a customer yesterday. Alternatively, and much cheaper, file the flats back on a standard M8(I think)to fit the slot, i’ve done it in the past, and it works perfectly.

Any Trek dealer should be able to order one in charge you an extortionate amount for a simple nut that you could pick up from a hardware store.

    😉

@kayak23 – that you would then have to spend your time filing to be the best fit you can make it.
