just wondering – shock going for service soon and will be gtting new bushings – do the mount bolts and sleeve wear and need replacing with time ? I’m guessing the bushings are designed to take the wear so probably not ?

    Hi
    they shouldnt
as you rightly said the bushes are the wearing component .

mine did, bike was 18mnths old before i thought to check the pivot bearings and found one side had collapsed but the other was ok. noticed that the bolts had bent slightly they also felt a bit thinner in the middle (no digi caplipers to confirm though)

so yes they do wear/bend etc but if this maybe caused by something else,, as above.

If you’re bending shock bolts, it’s usually because you’ve bottomed-out the shock and transferred the load into the bolt. You may want to consider upping your air pressure/altering your compression tune.
