Hi all I hope you can help?

I have a shimano xt m775 brake set. I was trying to clean a sticky piston but I pushed the piston out too far and it has come out of the calliper.

My question is can I just pop it back in and re-bleed and will it be fine? Or is there a different way to put it in properly? or is it time for a new calliper?

    many thanks for any help.

+1 Uplink – just clean out the piston with IPA and rinse through with Mineral oil to make sure there is no grit in it as well as the piston?

Yup, clean thoroughly then refit. I'd have the seals out and give them a clean, and check out the seal grooves, but that might be overkill.

"clean out the piston with IPA"

sounds like a waste of beer!
