I’m fixing a mates bike here and he’s running a 10 speed SRAM shifter and 10 speed slx mech.

Should they work ok together? I’m of the opinion no but wasn’t sure of the new 10 speed stuff was different

I don’t think you’ll get a 10spd SRAM shifter to play nicely with a 10spd SLX rear mech. SRAM and Shimano mix OK on the front though.

Ye that’s what I thought. But I near had it shifting ok, thought the cable was a bit sticky though. After some more googling i think shimano 10 speed is 1.25:1 whereas SRAM is 1:1.

Yep there is a bodge but I think it used 9sp shifters etc.

Hard and fast rule – Rear mech must be the same brand as rear shifter.
Everything else you can go to town on.
