Don’t want to get into a cartridge vs cup and cone debate, I’m going with an xt rear hub as I’m rebuilding an old wheel on the cheap and want to stay 6 bolt.

FHM756 vs FHM756a. So far as I can see, one sells for twice the price of the other and the only real difference is the seals.

    Are they £20 better?

Similar thing with the 525/525A, i’ve stripped them both and can only see a difference in the seal & housing, i’d save my money and buy the earlier one.

Yes, seals and actual hubs are different not an issue if going for new but more an issue if trying to swap parts between the different versions.

The only thing I found is that I had ordered a “non A” version but when delivered it was the other one. So it may be adevertised as a “non A” but actually be an “A”.
