    Thinking of my new RRat bike with MTB XT flat bar shifters & a 105 crankset/cassette – will this work? CRC says that the crankset is only compatible with 105 road type shifters though?
    any advice before I part with the cash!!

    SHimano 10 speed MTB has a different pull I think – 9 speed OK, 10 not.

    Your fancy hybrid needs road flat bar shifters.

    Yep I think so, no point in trying to match XT and 105 – better to go for the Shimano road specific shifters
