  • Shimano MP66 shoes, should they come with cleat nuts?

Bought some brand new shoes from an online retailer, my first SPD shoes, i tried to fit the cleats today but there is no thread for the bolts to go into, just slots.

Do these shoes normally come with a cleat nuts, or a plate insert with threded holes in it?

The customer service desk weren’t sure and said they would check on Monday and give me a call.

I’d like to know before i pop out and buy some tomorrow.

    Cheers,

Yep – I’ve had 2 pairs of these and you should get plates, bolts, everything you need.

Shouldn’t get bolts with shoes, they come with cleats. Pedals come with cleats and bolts.

Yep, the shoes come with the metal plates that go under the inner sole inside the shoe. Pedals come with the cleats and bolts to screw through the outer sole into the aforementioned metal plates.
