I ordered some shoes from CRC – I know ordering shoes on the internet is a potential no no but I always take Shimano 45s for the summer and 46s for my winter boots. So I ordered some Shimano SH-M123 shoes.

However, I received SH-M123W – does anyone know what the W refer to? I worry it might have something to do with fit, as they do feel different, although it could obviously be my imagination!

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Yeah, they’re white and black rather than the grey. They don’t seem wide. Well, if they are, there’s very little difference between wide and narrow and I have really narrow feet which is why I always go for Shimano

Shimano do sell some of their shoes in wide fitting. I’ve just got some M088’s in wide and they don’t look overly wide. In fact the 44 wide Shinamos look smaller than my normal 42 size shoes! My guess is that you’ve got the ‘wide’ ones.

Weird, thanks. Hoped they wouldn’t be wide but i guess it makes sense. Bugger, it’s never simple!
