That had already occurred to me, but seemed a bit drastic. And kinda pricey.

Are the blocks symmetrical? Could you just flip them upside down? or lift them and scatter them making the discolouration look like its the natural random colour of the blocks rather than a puddle stain.

IDK? I’m not really in the driveway laying business.

You need to put DOT 5.1 fluid on it. It’s a bit like white wine getting out red wine stains on carpet.

Try using some degreaser on it, let it soak in and rinse after a couple of mins.

Jizer which is a heavy duty degreaser or oil sorb granules (cat litter) put on top of the stains to try and draw the oil out.

Put some biological washing powder on it dry, tamp it down and leave it for a day, then brush it up
Don’t wet it, leave it dry,

It will go away, only looks like a stain after you do it.

Can’t say I notice ant patches where I have spilt nineral oil and its teh same type of driveway

Will give the washing powder a go (am hoping that’s a serious response, and not going to explode or something).

muc off will sort it maybe do the whole drive and get brownies rather than a chinning 😀

Why do people use bricks for driveways? 😕

Just tarmac the bugger, then it won’t show.

Then the oil will just dissolve the tar bonding the tarmac together.

The good thing about blocks is they’re not Stuck down so if any are damaged you can pull em up and replace em fairly easily, Tarmac driveways can be a pita if it starts crumbling and cracking
The washing powder thing worked for me when I found out my bongo sump held more than a gallon of oil 😳

If you clean it, there’ll still be a patch – a clean patch but a patch all the same

I use degreaser on our garage floor with DOT stains etc – seems to work well 🙂

where is the stain – I can’t tell looking at that pic.

Not my driveway, just an example of what mine is like.

Cover it with washing up liquid and leave it to soak in for a few days. Then pressure wash off.

Ignore it. It WILL fade and disappear. Trust me. I’ve done it.
