Hi, noticed there is quite a lot of lateral play of pedal body on spindle.

Can this be adjusted via bearings, or are they goosed?

Is it worth spending time in them or do I just buy some new ones?

Is special tool necessary to dismantle?

You do need a special tool to remove the axle from the pedal but after that it’s just small spanners.

Have a look on park tools YouTube channel they have video showing you how to do it.

Thanks, don’t have special tool, so by time I have bought that I may be as well just buying new pedals.

M520’s can be had for less than 20 quid. Not worth buying tools to fix them.
