after coming back from my weekend in dalby my right hand side pedal has got lots of play, is it safe? as im skint and cant buy some more yet.

If it's the body that's loose on the axle then you can remove the body and tighten up the cones(special plastic tool needed).

yeah its the body loose in the axle, any chance mole grips looose on it could get the plastic bit undone?

TLPD40 from Shimano is the one you need, £2.99 and in stock at Madison so available from just about any shop. You'll be more likely than not to mangle it using grips.
