    What is the difference between 'SIS SP41' and 'SIS SP -'

    have previously ordered SP41 but have received some 'SP-' with new brakes looks much the same !

    No it isn't.
    There's 4mm, 5mm, then XTR/Dura Ace has a silicon grease or some such already inside the outer, which the others don't.

    SP is part of the part code for the outer. The complete code would be SP36/40/41 etc. so could be that you have been sent 41 & it just doesn't say it on the casing.
    I really wouldn't worry about it & just fit it & ride.

    OP the only difference is size and grease. 6mm is free-er running.

    Generally, yes, you can get 6mm SIS outer though.

    And SP40/50 only has grease in the logo'd end(so don't trim that end, and feed the cable in from there), SP41/51 is fully greased.
