New to shimano, going to give them a try over eggs. Thought I would buy another set of cleats for my winter boots, however confusion reigns.
Single release 41's or multi release other versions? Or is it late and I am getting tired and confused? help.

Single release is the std. multi release are for people who aren't that confident and will pull out to easily for most

Shimano cleats over Crank Brothers? That should save you tonnes of dosh as the appalling CB ones last about a month where shimano may look industrial but last for ages.

Makes no real life difference which ones you buy in reality.

Multi release are awlful… For people who do not really want to go clipless..

I used to use both types, started with MR, then tried SR (swayed by opinion on here) 22 stitches later when I couldn't unclip and skewered my leg on a pointy stick just by toppling over I'm happily back to MR's….though I do have the pedals set up pretty tight.

I have some 8 ride old SR's if your interested…..
