    Hi there,
I need to fit new chainrings to an SLX triple on my nine speed bike. I have new Shimano 9-speed SLX chainrings: sizes 44t and 32t but NOT a 22t.
However, I do have a good used 10-speed 24t XT ring removed from an otherwise worn out M780 triple. I know the 4-bolt centres are both 64mm so will this 10-speed granny be okay as the granny ring on my 9-speed bike?
    Thanks, Tim

    Yes it will be fine.

10-sp chains are the same internal size as 9-sp, so both chains and sprockets/chainrings are interchangeable.

Spacing on cassettes is different to squeeze 10 onto a hub.

Thankyou kindly for that info Paul.
