    Just got a new bike. On it is a Shimano chain. I normally ride with a SRAM chain with the power link which is good, as i where i ride it is really sandy and it makes cleaning the chain between rides easy.

    THis shimano chain does not have a removable link. Is it possible to stick a power link on or a shimano equivalent. I would like to get some life out the chain rather than sticking a new SRAM chain on for convenience.
